Scholarship Description:
Professor Fu’s current and future research focuses on the fundamental study of flow physics, including turbulence, transition flows, multiphase flows and electrically conducting fluids. His research is dedicated to improving the theoretical understanding of these complex fluids and contributes to optimizing engineering quantities of interest, e.g., resistance, heat transfer, mixing ratio, etc. Potential applications involve transonic and low-speed vehicle flow control, hypersonic scramjet propulsion systems, combustions, microbubble dynamics, cavitation, aerodynamics, etc.
Eligibility criteria:
High order numerical methods or scientific computing. Candidates with a strong background in aerospace engineering, mechanics and applied mathematics are most welcome.
Application Procedure:
Interested candidates should apply directly to [email protected] with a CV and a research statement.
