Scholarship Description:

Dr. Xinyao Zhang graduated from the University of Florida under Dr. Sara Behdad. His research focuses on Human-Robot Interaction, Human-Cyber-Physical Systems, and AI-Enabled Computation. He is the first author of research published in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (Zone 1 of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) and high-level journals and conferences by ASME. He serves as a reviewer for academic publications including the Journal of Mechanical Design, IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, and workshops for ICML and ICLR.



Available Subjects:

  • Human Intelligence: Predict multimodal collaboration and strengthen human-centric system design 
  • Robot Intelligence: Augment robot learning for seamless interaction across physical and digital realms 
  • Process Intelligence: Optimize manufacturing operations and leverage advanced prototypes to enhance data-driven insights 

Eligibility criteria:

  • TOEFL score of 80 is required; qualified applicants may apply for a GRE waiver.
  • Eligible degrees: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a passion for research and experience in experimental design or project work.
